Welcome to Day 3:
What Helpful Tax Content Actually Looks Like
By the end of today's lesson, you'll know what content to create, who should create it, and how often to publish—so taxpayers understand the problem, trust your firm, and take the next step.
GOOD CONTENT DOES
MORE THAN INFORM.
Before you publish another tax tip, ask whether it makes the taxpayer feel understood, makes the problem clear, and makes the next step believable.
DO THEY FEEL UNDERSTOOD?
Say the part they are already thinking but have not said out loud. Name the financial pressure, emotional weight, and fear of making it worse by trying to fix it alone.
IS THE PROBLEM CLEAR?
Remove the jargon. Explain what the problem means, what happens if they wait, and what they should do next.
DOES THE NEXT STEP FEEL BELIEVABLE?
For complex cases, show redacted proof and explain what your firm did at a high level. For simpler issues, teach taxpayers the exact steps they can take themselves.
Don't just inform taxpayers.
Make them feel ready to act.
Use empathy to lower resistance, clarity to reduce confusion, and proof to make the next step believable.
Turn One Tax Question
Into Two Useful Posts.
Choose one question your ideal taxpayer regularly asks and create these two pieces:
Create them yourself, delegate them, or assign them to a team. The right production model is the one your firm can sustain.
THE EXPLAINER
Answer the question in plain language. Begin with the concern or confusion behind it, then make the next step easier to understand.
THE PROOF
Show how your firm has helped with a similar problem using a case study, result, testimonial, or properly redacted example.
TEACH THE PROBLEM CLEARLY.
PROVE THE SOLUTION CREDIBLY.
